Esprit are thrilled to announce that our Elite repair system has been accredited for Quality and Approved Performance by the prestigious TUV Rhineland testing house. Following the removal of the performance test in the British Standard, TUV and Esprit have worked together to create a rigorous new performance testing regime aligned with ECE R43 that both meets and exceeds the standards set down by BS AU 251, Rolags, AFNOR and AS/NZ 2366.2.
Esprit will now take its place as the first windscreen repair organisation to be listed on the TUV Certipedia pages as a certified supplier, with approval marks for Quality, Approved Performance and Material Tested.
Esprit has always believed that the windscreen industry – and more importantly – the drivers and passengers on our roads, deserve to know, with scientifically proven testing, that their repaired windscreens have been restored back to the strength demanded of a new windscreen. Whilst many in the industry will shy away from testing their products, we have always believed it is important to be subjected to independent and rigorous testing.
Although Esprit have been instrumental at setting up these new independent performance tests with TUV, they aren’t our tests; they’re open to any business who manufactures or distributes repair equipment, and we would welcome and encourage any manufacturer or distributor to undertake these tests with the world recognised TUV Rhineland. We believe this is how we will maintain the confidence of customers and insurance companies; independent performance testing will raise the standards of the industry as a whole and ensure that customers know that the product they’re using works safely and effectively - surely a benefit to the whole industry.
We want to pass our thanks to the team at TUV Rhineland for investing the time to create these tests with us and to help Esprit move the repair industry towards greater accountability and integrity in claims of performance.
