* YORKSHIRE PUDDING RALLY 2020 – POSTPONED TILL 28th- 30th AUGUST *
(SUBJECT TO SELBY COUNTY COUNCIL LICENCING APPROVAL ON DATE CHANGE)
Hi everyone, thanks for your patience, below is a full update regarding Yorkshire Pudding 2020.
We have been monitoring events closely over the last few months both in the UK and the rest of Europe, the safe easing of restrictions is welcomed and it is understandable that these things have to be done slowly to reduce the risk of an second spike. But we as an organisation along with the event industry as a whole are increasingly frustrated by the lack of communication from the Government with regards to a plan or roadmap going forward. However, we do find great hope and optimism when looking at other countries around us. Given that we have no real clue from our government we are trying to plan ahead on the basis that the UK’s lifting of restrictions will continue to somewhat mirror that of our European neighbours albeit maybe a few weeks behind. Football stadiums, showgrounds and other mass gatherings are to be allowed in and around Europe from mid to late July/ early August, these are exactly the restrictions that need to be lifted to enable us to proceed, hence the hope and optimism already mentioned.
With only 4 weekends left now till Yorkshire Pudding 2020, the dilemma we face is do we take a chance it might still happen on the original dates (this seems a big might now), do we cancel it entirely and let you all down or do we try and find a way to make it happen. Well the first option is really not in our nature, so if we can find a way to make it happen, we will. With this in mind, looking at our European neighbours, the postponement of Stormin The Castle and the rescheduling of The Farmyard Party we feel that all of the ducks are aligning to allow us to push Yorkshire pudding 2020 back 4 weeks to 28th– 30th August. This will give us a far more likely chance of putting on the event and in real terms gives us an additional 4 weeks of restrictions easing.
We have applied to Selby Council Licencing Department with this proposed change to our original issued licence and we await their decision, obviously things are taking a little longer than usual given the situation . If they agree and we are happy that we can adhere to any COVID-19 restrictions/ challenges likely to be imposed, then and only then will we look to go full steam ahead for the new dates.
YOUR EXISTING TICKET IS VALID FOR THE NEW DATES.
We assure everyone that if a ticket is/ has been purchased and the event does not go ahead then no one will be left out of pocket.

3. Return them to the outlet for a full refund (some outlets may currently be closed, please wait for them to reopen if you can)

1. Donate the ticket cost to MAG – please email [email protected] with your ticket numbers to notify us of this intention OR return your tickets to the PO Box* with DONATED written on the back

3. Return them to the PO Box* for a refund (excludes booking fee(s), these are retained by our 3rd party booking agent)
