Still glowing from our time at - Mind Body Spirit Wellbeing Festival, Olympia.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in the yurt, came to our sessions, spoke with us afterwards and entered our Bola chime competition. It was such a joy to share sound, voice and connection with you all.

Thank you to Anne Malone for the invitation to present in the Alchemy of Sound yurt and for being instrumental in growing sound family. It is always a joy to celebrate Alex and for their unique contributions to sound, music and production support.

Happy Beltane

We’ve just moved through a full moon and into this fire-lit part of the year… and May is holding something a little extra. Two full moons. A rare kind of fullness. A lot moving, a lot opening.

Beltane always brings that energy of expansion, creativity, life force. It’s playful, magnetic, a little wild. And when you sit with your bowls in this space, you might feel it… the sound carrying further, the resonance building in a different way, like it has somewhere to go.

If you’ve been feeling the nudge to reconnect, to play, to create, this is a potent time for it.

I’ve shared some thoughts over on the blog about Beltane, simple fire ceremonies, and ways to work with your crystal singing bowls in this energy.

The last full moon of the year looms tomorrow but tonight it’s glorious to see December’s supermoon hung low in the sky, wrapped in an otherworldly luminous 22-degree lunar halo.

This beautiful cosmic crown is born from moonlight dancing through millions of ice crystals suspended in the upper atmosphere.

This supermoon in Gemini appears larger and brighter as it reaches its closest approach to Earth. There’s an intensity in the air, a pull that reminds us we’re all connected to something far greater than ourselves. Gemini’s influence brings themes of duality, communication, and curiosity. It asks us to hold space for contradictions, to embrace both sides of our nature, and to speak our truths with compassion.

What is the greatest of virtues?

According to the Roman philosopher Cicero, gratitude is “not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others.”

As we close out our first year as proud partners of Crystal Tones® crystal singing bowls, we find ourselves in a moment of reflection. This partnership has been more than a business milestone, it has showed up time and again as a calling to work every day with therapeutic sound.

For this expansion we are supremely grateful. 💜

Incredible energy at this year’s Mind Body Spirit Festival. What begins as a slightly tense step into the unknown at get in soon becomes familial, warm and collaborative in a very short time.

It’s been adorable to meet so many fellow sound practitioners as well as the new crystal curious. Making connections, building trust and representing Crystal Tones®️no least ourselves has been a journey - months in the planning and prep and quickly and soon devoured.

We look forward to our last day and seeing how our connections bloom in new and sound forward ways ✌️💚

🐾 If you’ve ever loved a familiar who’s crossed over, light a candle. Let your bowl sing. Speak their name. They’re closer than you think. 🕯️✨

Samhain (pronounced “Sow-in”) marks the Celtic New Year and the threshold between light and dark, falling between the autumn equinox and winter solstice. This ancient fire festival, celebrated on October 31st and November 1st, represents a liminal time of powerful transition as the earth settles into rest and we honour our ancestors who’ve walked before us.

Tonight, we are choosing to remember our familiars. The beloved pets who intoxicated us with their enhanced senses, intuition, unique sounds and unconditional love.

Whether your familiar had whiskers, wings, fins or four paws, they shaped your life. Maybe they were your practice to be able to see beyond our own material world view.

With the passing of our animals their soul imprint never leaves us. It just changes form.

Happy Samhain from all of us at Crystal Sound. May you fill your bowls with nourishing sound as food for the animal spirits, and may your memories bring comfort as we cross into the darker half of the year.
