That’s how a floor should be looking when opening your living room door!!
Here’s a job we completed late May & what a great transformation it was, underneath the carpet hid a beautiful original pine floor crying out to be restored.
This pine floor like many others has a Bitumen border that really does take some work to remove but we managed to reveal what was underneath this toxic bitumen starting with a cross grain sand using a 24grit sandpaper we removed all the bitumen and levelled out the boards. Working our way through the grits to finish on a 180grit sandpaper it was time to buff this floor using 240grit sandpaper to get the boards FLAWLESS!
Now time for the full cleaning process from top to bottom including all walls and skirtings and everything inbetween, we completed the clean by giving the floor a full hoover to makesure the floor was like glass ready for varnishing.
Using a Bona Mega Clear SilkMatt Varnish we applied three heavy coats of varnish making sure to denib in between coats to really makesure this floor was looking and feeling great! And that’s job complete!
