A wider scarifier can make a real difference when there’s plenty of ground to cover, but it still needs to give the operator control over the work.

The WEIBANG Intrepid 48 SCP has a 48cm working width, 28 carbon-steel swing-tip blades and infinitely adjustable working depth. It is powered by a 196cc WEIBANG X200H petrol engine and built for demanding scarifying work.

New, used, hire or repair? When you need machinery for a job, the price today is only part of the decision.

Buying new can suit machinery that will be working hard, week in, week out. A well-maintained used machine can provide the benefits of ownership without the cost of buying new. Hire can cover seasonal work, one-off projects or specialist equipment such as the McConnel RoboCut, where occasional use may not justify buying outright. And sometimes, getting the machinery already in the yard properly serviced is the most economical option.

A mid-season clean and sharpen for these Toro triple cutting units.

If the finish isn’t quite as clean as it was earlier in the season, it could simply be time to give the cylinders and bottom blades some attention.

These came in for a clean and sharpen to get them cutting properly again.

We’ve got some workshop capacity at the moment for servicing, repairs and sharpening, so if you’ve got machinery that could do with a once over, give us a call.

A bit of KECKEX news from us 👇

We first came across KECKEX GmbH while looking into practical chemical-free w**d control, and that was what got us interested in the first place.

After doing some research here in the UK, we went over to Austria to see the machines working properly for ourselves.

What really stood out was how much more versatile the system was than we’d expected. W**d control is a big part of it, but the modular setup can also be used for cleaning, gum removal, watering and other outdoor maintenance work.

So we’ve now gone ahead and ordered two demonstration machines – the JESPI and the smaller MOBI – which should be with us in the UK within the next few weeks.

We’re planning our first UK demonstrations for October and will share the details as soon as they’re confirmed.

If your mower’s had a quieter few weeks in this dry weather, it’s worth giving it a quick check before the rain eventually turns up and everything starts growing again. 🌦️

Dust has been a big one this summer, so air filters are particularly worth checking, along with oil, belts, blades, tyre pressures and battery or fuel condition.

And if it’s due a proper service, now is a useful time to get it in while you can afford to be without it.
