*Attendee:* Pastor, can I make a prayer request?
*Pastor:* Of course, what is it?
*Attendee:* My relative passed away.
*Pastor:* What do you want us to pray for?
*Attendee:* He died last week. I want to pray that God will guide him in the afterlife.
*Pastor:* Ohโฆ Let me explain. Imagine there's an examโwhen should you pray, before or after the exam?
*Attendee:* Before the exam, of course.
*Pastor:* Correct. Here's how it works: if you pray after the exam, you're essentially asking God to change the grades, which isnโt possible because God is righteous and fair. He cannot cheat the results. The same applies to lifeโwhen someone dies, their "exam" is over. We can no longer change the outcome of their decisions while they were alive. Their destiny is already sealed. Hebrews 9:27 says, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." It means there are no second chances after death. I'm sorry, but this is the truth.
*Attendee:* Oh? So we need to sort it out while weโre still alive?
*Pastor:* Exactly. Iโm sorry about your relative, but we canโt pray for them anymore. Thatโs why itโs crucial for people to understand the Gospel while theyโre still aliveโto accept Jesus as Lord and Savior before itโs too late.
*Attendee:* Okay, Pastor.
Churches that teach there is still salvation after death are teaching something contrary to Scripture and are deceiving their members. People who believe they can be saved after death will face the greatest shock of their lives when they discover the truth that there is NO salvation after death.
