According to the UK Labour Housing Minister on BBC Breakfast today, people who work are using their hands (tradespeople) rather than brains.

Interesting idea.

So those of us who do not work in trades can expect an increase in NI on the 30th October based on his definition.

Where do copywriters and coders fit in then?
We use our brains and hands.
How about public speakers?

They really have not thought this through.

Hmmmm.

London Living Wage increases today by 70p an hour, and thus reaches £13.85 an hour in total.

Equates to around £112 less tax a month.

Under 4,000 employers have signed up to offer this helping up to 140,000 employees.

This makes me appreciate more the side gig I joined way back in 1997.

Help one family save money on their home bills, and be rewarded by the company in excess of the £112 above.

A lovely win-win.

quite amazed how many people I know who appear to have forgotten to fix their energy.

Woke up this morning to two text messages asking for help.

Of course I can help, but could have helped lots more yesterday.
I even stayed online until 11.50pm last evening for late requests.
One existing customer added energy last night, and are pleased with the savings locked in for the next 12 months.

Please, please do not leave it until you remember, but get it sorted early in the month/quarter as the next deadline appears, which is 31/12/24.

Be a couple of interesting presentations today.

Can offer a 12 month fixed rate deal and that will stop the forecast 5% energy price rise in January 2025.

As another of my friends/acquaintances deactivates Facebook.

I suggest: don't do it.
(BTW if you really can't handle your social media, please get a VA?)

A lesson well learned:

I was chatting with a business owner last week, she told me, that deactivation of FB had been brilliant for her ..... to begin with.

Within 60 days her enquiries dived off a cliff.

Often a presence is not about new enquiries, but reassurance a person is making a great decision.

For many years, you only ever saw BMW adverts when driving in from Heathrow to London along the M4.

BMW never expected to sell a car, but make their owners feel good about their purchase.
