This first photo is of the sculpture Angel of Grief created by William Wetmore Story in 1894 for the grave of his wife Emelyn Story
And I’m sharing it because I was thinking of angels weeping on tombstones when I created my Sleeping Bear sewing patterns. They are made for you to make memorial bears for loved ones who have passed away

If you are new to sewing or making memory bears here’s your sign - my patterns can be made beautifully first time. And here’s your proof - This is only the second Charlie Bear that Whitehead has sewn - he’s so good isn’t he! And the 1st time she had used my Flat Cap sewing pattern and the first time she added a shirt collar too!

This Memory Bear was made in honour of my client's friend Nicola. 👉Swipe through to see all the photos… 👉 My client let me know how she would like her bear,
“with the dress to have the stripes on the top and the polka dots on the skirt section, with the coat to look as close as the jacket in the photo of Nicola at my wedding, and Niki-Noo 1964-2021 on the foot pads”
