Freshly Molted Beauty! 🕷️✨

Nothing beats seeing a tarantula in fresh colours after a successful moult! This stunning Nhandu chromatus is looking absolutely incredible, with those crisp white leg bands and rich burgundy abdomen really standing out.

A successful moult means fresh fangs, new hairs, and a little more growing done. As always, this beauty will be left undisturbed while the exoskeleton hardens before any feeding.

One of South America’s most striking terrestrial species and always a favourite here at Swansea Spiders!

Have you kept a N. chromatus before? Drop your photos in the comments! 👇

Been a busy couple of weeks here at Swansea Spiders, so apologies for the radio silence! Things have been non-stop behind the scenes, but we’re back and will be posting plenty more content over the next few days.

We’ll also be updating our available stock list, with a few exciting stock drops lined up 👀🔥

In the meantime, enjoy this OBT pairing video! Always amazing to watch these beautiful orange terrors doing their thing.

We’ve got a few egg sacs cooking at the moment too, so fingers crossed for some healthy hatchlings in the coming weeks 🤞🕸️

What’s on everyone’s wishlist at the moment? Any species you’re hoping to see available soon?

As always, thanks for all the support! ❤️🕷️

G. iheringi pairing on 22/05 went very smoothly 👀🕷️

Couldn’t fully confirm the insemination with my own eyes, so we’ll be doing a second pairing in a couple of days just to seal the deal 🤞🏻

Male behaved perfectly, female stayed calm, and all signs are looking positive so far 🔥

Now the waiting game begins… 👀

What a day at the British Tarantula Society Exhibition 🕷️🔥

Huge well done to everyone involved in organising the 39th annual event at Warwickshire Event Centre — the atmosphere was brilliant and it was amazing seeing so many people passionate about the hobby all under one roof.

Loads of incredible animals, great conversations, and of course… we couldn’t leave empty handed 👀😂

Can’t wait to hopefully attend next year as a vendor/trader!

Here’s our little video from the day along with our haul 🙌
