Autumn is ivy season, and for the bees that's a big deal. 🐝

Ivy blossom comes into flower just as many other flowers are disappearing, giving bees an important source of food as we head towards winter.

So if you can, leave a patch of ivy uncut while it's flowering — on a hedge, a wall or tucked away in a corner of the garden.

It might not look like much to us, but to a hungry bee it can make quite a difference. 🌿🐝

Same skin. Different indoor air.

When the heating goes on and we start spending more time indoors, the warmer, drier-feeling air can leave skin feeling tighter and less comfortable — especially as the colder weather arrives outside too.

It's usually around this time of year that we reach for one of our richer balms: Deeply Moisturising Revival Balm. A concentrated, water-free blend of beeswax, shea butter and botanical oils, handmade in small batches here in the Teme Valley.

They always say that sun shines on the richeous but sometimes I wish it would shine from behind as the balm samples would much prefer to be in the shade.
