It’s been the perfect foliage hunting day today.

Just me and my secateurs pottering around the garden collecting greenery for my first ‘make it in your own home wreath making session’ of the year.

My ladies will be using a mix of fresh and faux foliage and flowers and, with a little daily misting, they will look gorgeous until the end of the festive season.

Another church display at St Dunstans Southborough. As the dark and changeable days are creeping in, I designed this arrangement to add a pop of colour and a bit of joy as we welcome the start of Autumn.

The best thing in my life is cats and flowers... many of you that follow me would have seen a previous post of my black cat Jeeves hidden in the lavender. This is my fluffer doofer Leo... he's as beautiful as the flower he's sheltering under!

These simple wreath alternatives are made with faux spruce and berries

The star has the addition of acorns and small white stars. It measures 28cm and costs £9

The heart has the addition of red rosehip berries and white stars and measures 22cm and costs £9

Both designs are free local delivery anywhere else there will be a small additional cost to cover P&P

Sage belongs to the plant group of salvias which translated means to save
A Mediterranean herb that we all know for the humble banger!

Sage is the perfect plant for a Sagittarius - strongly associated with wisdom and intelligence and used to enhance metal clarity for hundreds of years.

It is also used for protection and for purification. You may have seen many psychics wafting a bowl of burning sage leaves around peoples rooms to ward off evil spirits and unwanted energies.

But did you know that the use of sage has many medicinal benefits from headaches, rheumatism, diarrhea, anemia and in treating menopause. It is being closely studied for its naturally high levels of estrogen. It can be taken either by chewing, smoking or as a tea. Even sniffing a leaf can clarify your mind!

One form of sage in Mexico is used in rituals due to its hallucinating properties!

The Romans used the herb to preserve meat.

Giving it as a gift for a new business is meant to help with prosperity.

My favourite way to have sage is with butternut squash and pasta!

Many of you will know but one of the key colours this season is pink!

If like me you aren't a girly girl - but love to use this colour in moderation, then you might like this wreath with pink magnolias, fruit and red berries all on a grapevine wreath ring.

Can be used as a traditional hanging wreath or as a great table decoration with a hurricane vase.

Can be locally delivered for free or I can post it to you for an additional charge to cover P&P.

There is no greater feeling than being approached to create something unique and totally to an individuals tastes and requirements.

This is one of my latest bespoke orders. The young man was looking for something to wow his partner - "She loves all things grey" he told me. This is what we came up with. He was looking to show her the love this Christmas and didn't want the conventional round wreath - so we went with this birch heart, embellished with birch stars, pine cones, silver berries and baubles, wicker stars, silver and white foliage and these stunning grey poinsettias - and of course the hanging "Happy Christmas" bauble.

Loved doing this one - I hope you like it too.
