Not really sure where to start with this post…..❤️❤️

Working with Gillian and Connor on their bright and bold wedding flowers has been an absolute dream from beginning to end. They both had such a creative vision when it came to their arrangements and were so trusting with us to let our creativity flow with our designs.

We were back at one of our favourite venues The Engine Works last week to bring as much colour as we could to celebrate their wedding.

Last week, we had the absolute joy of creating the wedding flowers for this wonderful couple. Their brief was all about statement pastel colours combining soft, dreamy tones with high impact, luxurious textures to create a look that was both timeless and completely modern.

We got to work with some of the season’s absolute best showstoppers to bring their vision to life.

The mix of the soft, delicate sweet peas and peonies contrasted with the architectural, trailing orchids made for an unforgettable design fluid with summer energy.

Two weeks ago we had the absolute joy of dressing the magnificent Bute Hall at Glasgow University for Hannah and Euan’s beautiful wedding!

When a couple hands you a brief of summer brights and unusual blooms, you know it’s going to be a special day. We were completely thrilled to let our creativity run wild, pairing the grand, historic architecture of the hall with bold, punchy color pops and unique, sculptural textures.

It was a total dream to create, and the perfect example of how to bring modern, vibrant energy into a classic, majestic space.

While we are absolutely loving this beautiful sunshine, our fresh flowers are feeling the heat! High temperatures can cause blooms to dehydrate much faster and speed up their natural lifecycle.

To help your weekly bouquets and arrangements survive the mini-heatwave, here are our top 4 floristry insider tips to keep them looking fresh and lush:

Change the water daily. Bacteria loves warm water, and it will clog your stems. Empty your vase every single morning, give it a quick rinse, and fill it back up with fresh, ice cold tap water.

Give them a fresh trim. Every time you change the water, snip about 1cm off the bottom of the stems at a 45-degree angle. This opens up their stems so they can drink up that cold water efficiently.

Keep your vase far away from direct sunlight, sunny windowsills, or drafty areas. Find the coolest, most shaded spot in your room for them to live in.

Pro Tip…..If your house gets really stuffy during the day, pop your flowers in the coolest room (like a bathroom or kitchen floor) overnight to let them rest and recover!
