I’m Rachel, the creator behind Rachel’s Cards & Crafts, based in Northumberland. I specialise in luxury handmade cards, personalised gifts and beautiful keepsakes created with love, layers and attention to detail. Every card is carefully handcrafted using high-quality cardstock, coordinating papers and dimensional embellishments. I especially love designing new baby keepsakes, milestone birthdays and heartfelt family pieces that become something to treasure — not just something to pop on a shelf for a week. Alongside cards, I also create personalised gifts including:

🦋 A little throwback today… 💙💜

I’ve been looking back through some of my older makes recently and came across this one. I’d almost forgotten how much I loved making cards in this style!

This one started life as plain white card. Lots of inks, stamping and splattering created the blue and purple background, while the butterflies were individually stamped and coloured, with the large butterfly layered up to give it extra dimension. A little sparkle finished everything off. ✨

One of the things I love about this technique is that no two cards ever turn out exactly the same. The inks flow and blend differently every time, so each finished card has its own completely unique background.

I haven't made this style for a while, but looking back at it has definitely made me want to get the inks and stamps out again! 😂

Maybe it's time for some of these inky, messy, properly handmade cards to make a comeback… 🦋

☕️ A little more mug progress today! ☕️

After sorting through some of my mug stock yesterday, today's job has been working out the best way to show them properly on the website.

I've created a new collage template so I can show the left, centre and right views of each mug together — without taking attention away from the actual designs. ❤️

It's taken a little bit of trial and error 😂 but I've finally got a layout I'm happy with, and these are the first four finished!

Well… that escalated quickly 🤣☕️

Today’s job was sorting through some of my existing stock and getting the drinkware photographed and organised ready for the website.

There are LOTS more designs than I remembered 😂 and this isn’t even everything!

Now safely packed away ready to be added to the website bit by bit. ❤️

📦✨ Today’s job… tackling the stock boxes! ✨📦

If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember when I used to have stock in various shelf-rental spaces and at craft fairs and stalls.

Well… quite a lot of that stock has been packed away in boxes ever since, and today I finally started bringing it all in and sorting through it! 😂🙈

And there is SO much more than I remembered…

Cards, mugs, drinkware, pocket hugs, bookmarks, decorations, pictures, plaques, gifts, Christmas items… and plenty more that I haven’t even rediscovered yet! 🤣

The plan is to work through everything, sort and photograph it, and gradually add lots more Ready to Post items to the website.

Some things will be coming back, some will be last chance pieces that won’t be made again, and I’m sure a few older designs will inspire some brand-new creations too. 👀✨

It’s going to take me a while — there are a LOT of boxes 😂 — but it should mean plenty of different things appearing on the website over the next few weeks.

I’ll share some of my finds as I go… you never know what I’m going to uncover next! 🤣🥰

🤍✨ A very special wedding card for a very special couple ✨🤍

This beautiful personalised card was created for John & Hayley for their wedding day, with an elegant ivory, soft sage and silver colour palette. 💍

I absolutely loved putting all the little details together on this one — from the layered decorative borders and personalised topper to the ribbon, heart charm, pearls, gems and touches of sparkle throughout. ✨

The inside was designed to coordinate with the front too, with matching florals, decorative layers, a wedding verse and plenty of space for a personal handwritten message. 🤍

I love making cards like this where the whole design is created around the occasion and the people receiving it — something completely personal that can be kept long after the day itself. 🥰
