Sad news

With the heaviest of hearts, today we share the sad news that our dear friend and longtime Guitarist Magazine Gear Editor Dave Burrluck passed away just before the weekend after a short illness. His contribution to guitar journalism was unparalleled. His good word, always given from a place of stringent honesty, helped give countless up-and-coming guitar makers their start, while his reporting on the instruments made by the world’s major makers was as detailed and exacting as it was fearless in praising the good and calling out where players could and should expect more from a guitar. Far more than that he was a friend you could trust through easy times and difficult - utterly irreplaceable and inimitable. He will be missed more than we can express. Rest in Peace.
