Part Time Experience Kitchen Porter

The role will be between 15-25 hours per week, you must be available to start immediately to cover every Saturday & Sunday from now until Christmas and preferably Fridays when required. We are coming into our busiest period so the correct candidate must have previous experience to be able to assist our busy kitchen team. The role will involve assisting the kitchen in organising deliveries & basic kitchen prep as well as working alongside our full-time pot washes.

Christmas 2026 at Birkacre is now open!

Our award winning team have work so hard to bring you our most immersive Christmas displays ever!

Travel back in time with us and experience Christmas through the ages. On top of our main themes we also have a homeware department fully stocked with the latest autumn/ winter trends, a food hall packed with delicious treats and lots of brilliant gift ideas in our giftware department.

To complete your visit why not book into our fabulous restaurant or visit our Christmas food markets (please check online for opening times).

If you have not visited Birkacre before, we are in Chorley just 5 minutes from junction 8 of the M61 or junction 27 of the M6.

I was invited to to preview their legendary Christmas displays and it did not disappoint!This year’s theme is all about stepping back in time through Christmas, taking you from the 90s all the way back to A Christmas Carol, with a few stops in between.

👀 Did you spot the classic Christmas film reference in the 90s section?🎬

And what makes a garden centre day out even better? A food hall and restaurant for something nice to eat and drink too! ☕️

It's definitely a great day out for the kids as well, so if you’re in Lancashire and fancy getting into the Christmas spirit, is definitely worth a visit!🎄✨️
