LHD Subaru Impreza Sti Spec C RA-R that has only covered 6044 km (3755 miles) An exceptionally low-mileage and very rare example of Subarus rally-inspired performance hero. While originally built as a right-hand-drive car in Japan it has been converted by an official Subaru dealership to left-hand drive and it is now believed to be the only Spec-C Type RA-R in this configuration. The invoice is present showing the conversion. The car was a 1 owner vehicle in Japan and upon import and was a Grade 5A car with the original auction sheet present, along with its service book that is also present. Since arriving in the Uk it has been dry stored in a fine collection and had very little use , it has another invoice with it of £3800 for general service work that’s been carried out too. The interior is exactly how you would expect a 3500 mile car to be , this is the next best thing to one that rolled out of the factory some 20 years ago. The exterior body work shows no signs of wear and can also be described as immaculate.
It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre flat-four, delivering 316bhp and 318lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. The car has been kept in professional storage to help maintain its condition, and is fitted with a handful of rare upgrades as well as a Bullet exhaust system. The most extreme production version of the second-generation GDB Impreza, the RA-R builds on the STi Spec Cs already impressive performance. Powered by the same 316bhp turbocharged flat-four found in the Japan-only STi S204, the Type RA-R was built with thinner glass and metal, reduced soundproofing, no boot carpet, and a lighter battery. It also features a quicker steering rack, larger Brembo brakes, and overhauled suspension. This example is finished in white with a black roof vent over a black cabin highlighted by red stitching on the steering wheel and handbrake handle. It rides on a set of white 18 inch 12-spoke Sti original RA-R alloy wheels with silver callipers and Toyo R888R tyres. The specification also includes an upgraded Recaro STI bucket seat, uprated racing brakes from the Subaru catalogue, an upgraded Bullet exhaust system, air conditioning, water spray controls, a Blitz turbo timer, Defi lap timer, and Defi sensors.
