A fantastic night for Bracknell Cobras basketball at the Basketball England South Region Awards on Sunday evening! 🏀

We are incredibly proud of everything achieved across the club, with multiple well-deserved recognitions on the night:

🏆 Coach Andy was named Volunteer of the Year, celebrating 36 years of dedication to Bracknell basketball and his outstanding contribution to the game across generations.

🏆 The Cobras Basketball Club was awarded Local League Provider of the Year, proudly collected on the club’s behalf by Chairman Jeff.

🏆 Coach JD was named Children’s Coach of the Year, with the award collected on his behalf by Coach Alex.

From grassroots development to National League support, Walking Basketball, and everything in between, it was a powerful reminder of the passion and commitment that runs through our club.

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone involved — and to the wider basketball community for a truly special evening.

A fantastic moment for at the Basketball England South Region Awards, held on Sunday night.

We’re incredibly proud to share that our very own Coach Andy was named Volunteer of the Year 2025!

Andy has been a volunteer in Bracknell basketball for 36 years, starting his journey with the Thames Valley Tigers before becoming a central figure at the Bracknell Cobras since its formation in 2010.

Over nearly four decades, countless young players have benefited from his passion, guidance, and unwavering commitment to growing the game at every level. His impact has helped strengthen the basketball community across generations.

More recently, Andy has continued to give his time across multiple areas of the club and wider game, supporting National League programmes, development squads, and Walking Basketball sessions, helping ensure the sport remains accessible and inclusive for everyone.

What stands out most is his consistency and willingness to step in wherever needed. Andy gives his time freely, always with energy and positivity, quietly helping to keep everything running and making sure others can enjoy their basketball experience.

Please join us in congratulating Coach Andy, a truly well-deserved recognition. 🏀👏

Join Cobras Basketball Club this May for a fun few days of basketball, games, competitions, and skill development for players aged 5–16. And a bonus Epic Heatwave water fight towards the of the day 💦🏀💧

Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or already plays regularly, our camps are designed to help players improve, build confidence, and enjoy being active in a positive environment.

After a packed and successful run of camps already this year, we’re excited to get back on court again this May.

Our SEN Basketball Camp is designed for players aged 12+ with special educational needs, creating a supportive environment where everyone can learn, play, build confidence, and enjoy the game together.

At Cobras, we’re passionate about making basketball accessible to all — helping players stay active, develop new skills, make friends, and most importantly, have fun! 💙
