Been a busy couple of weeks for me & Meli… and today’s little project actually works! 😂🎸

Converted an old output lead into a non-obtrusive pickup checker. Saves loads of time and, more importantly, saves all the usual faffing about with leads every time I want to check a pickup.

Simple little job, but it works a treat. She’s a winner! 👍

Fender MIJ Bass with OL bridge pickup failure.

After a full diagnosis, repair, complete pickup rewind, rebuild, reinstallation, full service and professional setup, it’s back to sounding absolutely incredible.
Returned to vintage spec with vintage matching materials

Don’t assume a dead pickup means a replacement is needed. In many cases, it can be repaired and brought back to life.

As far as I’m aware, Al’s Guitar Services is the only workshop on the Isle of Wight offering a complete pickup diagnosis, repair and rewind service, alongside a full guitar service and setup.
