Frankly, I'm sick of seeing this happening.
Another young talented person has been lost.
Benjamin Slattery better known by his ring names Adrian Neville and PAC has passed away aged 40.
He didn't fit the usual mould of a pro wrestler, a Geordie the height of a cruiserweight and built like a heavyweight. He could fly, and he could be a total powerhouse.
I had the pleasure of seeing him wrestle, and he was one in a million.
Rest in peace.

No disgrace with this score against the reigning European champions.
There were flashes of inspiration, Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 played calmly and confidently. They pressed up well, there were some great defensive plays. On another night we might well have gotten the draw,or even a cheeky win.
Hopefully we can build on this against Denmark.
Ymlaen, we move forward.

International fortnight begins, with an away fixture in Portugal. This followed by Denmark away, Norway at home and Denmark again at home.
The new Sudu kit is making its debut too, which I'm still undecided about..
Big pressure for Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 but here's hoping for a few points out of this run of games.

Christmas has come early - thanks to my incredible mother who got me this beautiful guitar that has quite a backstory.
Back when I was about 11, and I first started my journey into guitar proper, I was gifted "The Guitar Handbook" by Ralph Denyer.
That book was my bible, and I spent many an hour pouring over the pages inside. One particular section that got a lot of attention was the electric guitar pages, showcasing the famous Fenders and Gibsons, alongside my beloved Japanese offerings.
The one guitar that stood out was this pearlescent pink Aria TA60. A guitar that reminded me of the curves and colours of 1950s American car design. I was enamoured, but I could never find one in that colour.
All these years later, I've got one, and it just happens to be from 1988 - my birth year.
All I can say is, it was so worth the wait ♥️

It's quite frankly mind blowing that it was 20 years ago this month that I first set foot into University.
That was the beginning of 4 unforgettable years, of fun, hard work, and making friends for life.
It really does seem like it was only yesterday I was out filming documentaries, presenting on student radio and hammering out my Masters dissertation.
2006 to 2010 were halcyon days, lectures in the week and gigging on the weekend.
If you're off to University, make the absolute most of your time there. They really are some of the best years of your life.

Not the usual post, but this one's important.
The Hoover factory—one of the socioeconomic backbones of my hometown—is being demolished. Most people from Merthyr have some sort of connection to this industrial giant.
It opened in 1948 on the former site of the Plymouth Iron Works (the original industrial giant of Merthyr) and went on to become the largest employer in the borough.
Of course, Hoover made white goods, but this was also the factory that built the infamous Sinclair C5. The project was so secret that a hidden tunnel was built just to reach the facility.
Hoover also sponsored Merthyr Town Football Club from the 1980s right up to 1997, when the new major local employer, One 2 One (T-Mobile/EE), took over. The Hoover logo was emblazoned on the shirt worn during the famous 2-1 defeat of Italian giant Atalanta in 1987.
In later years, following its closure, the factory was used as a film set—playing the role of the 1960s Ford factory for the filming of Made in Dagenham.
My grandfather worked there in its heyday and was involved with the Sinclair C5. I wore those iconic Merthyr football shirts, and I was even part of the cast of Made in Dagenham.
Hoover is part of our story, and we are part of its story. 🌊🎸

File this one under, "I bet you've never seen one of these before". This one's so obscure, I hadn't even heard of it until I saw it.
So, apparently, this Boxer 60 watt combo was made by OHM - UK and designed by Roland Lumby. It was built in Cheshire, but accounts vary from the 70s to the 90s.
All I know is, the construction is beautiful. The cabinet is finger jointed solid wood, the speaker is tilted at a slight angle for projection, and the entire thing oozes class.
At some point it's been modified, the preamp output has been omitted, and a second input has been added (including a slight groove worked into the cabinet to allow the jack through)
Solid state is much maligned, but quality solid state is a secret sauce for many of your favourite records.
Very very pleased to get my hands on such an interesting bit of kit, and it's not going anywhere!

I've been hunting down a Flower Power or Paisley guitar for ages, but with the finish done right.
I finally found it, in the shape of this beautiful Telecaster/Jazzmaster hybrid.
It's totally groovy man, even the insects dig it.
Welcome to my collection.

Ever since I was a kid guitar player I was always fascinated by the Telecaster used by Andy Summers. The switches, the extra control k**b, what did they do? How did it sound so magical?
When the internet provided me with the answers, I was even more intrigued.
However, I don't know about you, but I don't have a spare £17k for the Fender Custom Shop model.
When I saw this nicely put together replica build, I decided to add it to my collection.
It's fully kitted out with the phase switch and booster circuit, for all those Police tones.
All it needs is a set up and a brass bridge, and it's as near as one could possibly ask for.
If it wasn't quiz night, I'd spend the evening coaxing as many Police hits as I can out of it.
At least that's my weekend sorted, eh?
