A question we get asked a lot: "Are your products eco-friendly?"

Honestly? We don't love that term.

"Eco-friendly' has become a label that's lost its meaning. Brands put it on everything, and consumers are right to be sceptical.

So here's what EcoElara actually stands for:

We don't manufacture our products - we curate them. Every product we choose for your home, laundry and personal care is held to one standard: it must not harm nature, it must come from nature, and it must be able to return to nature.

No toxic ingredients. No greenwashing. No compromises.

Because the relationship between us and nature isn't being "friendly' - it's about belonging to each other. A circle that should never be broken.🌿

What standard do you hold your products to? Let us know below👇🏼

Do you trust eco-friendly labels?

When you're shopping for eco-friendly products, all the different icons and certifications can feel confusing.

Eco-certifications are there to show that a product has been checked against certain environmental or ethical standards. They are not marketing claims - they usually invlove independent checks and ongoing compliance.

But not every certification covers the same thing. Some focus on ingredients, some on packaging, some on organic materials, and others on social responsibility.
That's why it helps to look beyond the logo and ask:

🌿What does the certification actually mean?
🌿Who verified it?
🌿Does it match what matters to me?

At EcoElara, we want to make sustainable shopping feel clearer, not more confusing. We'll be adding certification information to our website to help you make informed choices with confidence.

What does Customer Service mean to you?
My idea of Customer Service is primarily talking and interacting with a human being. If someone wants help, they should have the opportunity to call a phone number and talk through their issue or concern with a human being. I find this helps both the customer and the business in building a relationship. I hate the fact that it seems to be getting more difficult to ask a human being for assistance. EcoElara is and will be available for customers to talk to a human being - that is our promise to you. You can email us at [email protected] or message via WhatsApp on 07518019531 or talk to us on 07518019531 - happy to hear from you and more than happy to help 😃🤳

Your skincare routine shouldn't leave a trail of plastic behind.

Building a skincare routine doesn't have to mean accumulating plastic bottles and wasteful packaging. A low-waste skincare routine is simpler than you might think—and it often leads to healthier, happier skin.
Cotton pads and disposable wipes add up quickly in landfill. Swap them for reusable alternatives: washable cotton rounds, soft cloths, or even your clean hands.
A konjac sponge is another excellent choice—naturally derived from the konjac plant, these gentle sponges are biodegradable, plastic-free, and perfect for cleansing and exfoliating without harsh chemicals or microplastics. Reusable options are gentler on skin, more economical, and dramatically reduce waste.
For your konjac sponges and bamboo pads, allow them to dry completely between uses. A small dish or hanging pouch in your bathroom keeps them accessible while promoting air circulation. Proper storage means your products last longer, reducing the frequency of repurchases and the associated packaging waste.
Remember that sustainable skincare is a journey, not perfection. Every small change—whether it's choosing a solid soap bar, investing in a konjac sponge, or switching to reusable bamboo pads—contributes to a healthier planet and often healthier skin too.
