2.30am and my brain is busy with one of its usual art quests. Work is going to a struggle tomorrow. Apart from that I’m glad I got these started. They have been on my mind for about 6 months. I’ll take some proper pics tomorrow when the light is good.

I’m thinking about using the shape of a body as a suggestion of a space where someone once was. Not necessarily that they have gone but maybe that they are there but also not.

Today was pretty productive. I screen printed this little collection onto existing paintings. I’m pretty pleased with the results and am keen to do more to develop and refine the process. There’s lots to explore with this technique.

Any feedback welcome. Any bits you like or not so much? Im@learning and keen to hear any thoughts x

This was fun!
I sat in the garden in the evening, cooling down from the day. I love mono screen prints. The last print informs the next so it’s like keeping different layers of a painting as it develops. The next print has ghosts and shadows from the previous.

Lara the kitty was a perfect subject. True to her species she kept trying to sit on the freshly printed pictures

I’m pleased with this because I’ve managed to incorporate a shape on the back that means it can hang straight on the wall - no need to stick a bracket on

These were a treat to take out of the kiln!

Layered glazed on simple hand shaped bowls, with exposed raw crank clay for contrast
