Happy Friday everyone! We have just had a lovely few days camping in Norfolk. Beaches, seal watching, steam boat trip, walking, eating, drinking. Beautiful part of the world.
Back to reality next week with a big order and big workshop to get on with!!

This is for my very dear Aunt who is like a second mum to me. She is going to hang it on the wall in her spare bedroom and asked if it could go with the colours on the bedspread pictured. It's 30cm diameter and I haven't created anything this large before. I had to restart it as I originally used buttermilk for the background and the flowers just weren't standing out well. Mr Hughes had to sand it all off and I think he felt bad doing it 😂 even though I asked him to! The new background is cool white.

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you are all surviving in this heat 🥵 Personally I do not find it easy to function. It has also had an impact on my Dots and Cocktails workshop which I unfortunately ended up rescheduling and then cancelling, not something I like to do as I hate letting people down, and I have had to forfeit my booking fee which was non refundable 😥

Unfortunately with no air conditioning at the venue it would not have been an enjoyable experience and the paints would not have behaved properly as they thicken very quickly in the heat.

However, it's not all doom and gloom by any means as this afternoon I met the most lovely Jaime at The Makers’ House, Fareham. This venue has been mentioned to me by a few of you and this afternoon we had a fabulous meeting, so I'm delighted to announce that this will be a new venue for me to run my Dotty Workshops! There is a wonderful friendly and welcoming space and even better, it has air conditioning!! Yippee!!

Watch this space for more details, I am hoping to run the cancelled Dots and Cocktails workshop there in August. Also watch this space for details of my involvement in their Craft under Canvas event in September. All very exciting!

A bit wintery for this beautiful sunny weather, but here's another design for the kits I am slowly developing. It is taking a bit of trial and error to find designs that work (attempted a highland cow which was a disaster) but I'm pleased with this one. I hope you all like it too!
