I might have underestimated just how warm it was when I got dressed this morning; patterned snug tights, roll-neck top, over-dress and a jumper, plus a jacket! Still, we had a lovely (warm) ride up to Grantham to the Artisan Brocante Christmas Fair at St Wulfrum’s Church. I got to meet up with 2 lovely ladies, Karen from and the ever-smiley Penny of . I do appreciate Karen’s beautiful stalls, here in Norfolk or further afield, full of lamps, vintage pottery, handmade lampshades and linens, that she works so hard to present so beautifully at fairs - her work is so professional, as are Penny’s gorgeous pinafores, dresses and fairies. It’s thanks to Penny that I try and put my socks on myself (I don’t always succeed 😖) and that I’m cheerful in the mornings, thanks to following her account; it is full of kindness, fun, positivity and inspiration and her sewing is fabulous. I might just have bought one of her frocks (which means I failed on the first day!). I also bought a reel of some lovely green velvet ribbon but at least it is secondhand, if unused. Mr P, my friend, Jude, and I also stopped at the refreshment stall for lunch. It was a really good fair and very well attended and I would recommend a visit when they hold another.
My green dress is H & M and a charity shop find, as is my mustard coloured Shetland wool jumper (bought some years ago) and the cream roll-neck.
The church was spectacular with some incredible artisan crafted features and worth a visit even without a fair or broccante.
