Our Story
Having relocated to a lovely little shop in Welshpool, our range of products has changed a bit. Predominantly, FPG is a wool shop, with an extensive range of crafts and haberdashery products. We stock loads of King Cole yarns, amazing colours and quality, we have some Adriafil yarns, which are sumptuous, Caron yarns which are stunning and versatile and Woolcraft yarns which are so very usable and always produce lovely garments. I stock a range of KnitPro Zing knitting needles and Wave crochet hooks, cos who doesn’t love a bit of colour in their needle/hook collection, and they are so beautiful to use. Also some wonderful bamboo needles and birch hooks. I have buttons by the bucket full, literally. Loads of King Cole patterns, zips, threads, silks.....so so much.
I allocate Monday and Thursday afternoons for a few things, anybody wanting to learn to knit or crochet, or just wishing to sit with likeminded crafting souls and knit and natter, but also for anybody having problems with a pattern, I love to sit and help understand the language of a knitting pattern, if I can :)
In the quiet times I do alterations with the help of my Mother, a wonderful seamstress whose brain I pick often for little tailoring tricks and fixes. We may not be very quick with our repairs, but I do like to think we are pretty good :)
