At 95 years old, she walked onto a high school track wearing an American flag t-shirt and athletic shorts, holding a pole twice her size. A few spectators chuckled, expecting a lighthearted demonstration.
They were wrong.
She locked in, took a deep breath, and burst into a sprint down the runway. With perfect technique, she planted the pole, inverted upside down, and cleanly cleared the bar.
When she hit the mat, her glasses were crooked, her hair bun was loose, and she was laughing with pure joy. The entire crowd erupted.
