Today may have been a very warm day for all our lovely residents and staff but we made the most of it with shopping trips this morning, to our smoothie hydration trolley (the residents absolutely loved i might add), to a couple of our lovely ladies getting their nails painted and then watering our lovely flowers. Thank you to all staff and activities staff the residents have loved today minus the heat.

Tuesday we had a different type of entertainment we had Zante fox and friends come in.
The residents love animals and although we often have pet therapy with dogs, sheep, chicks, kittens etc this was something totally different the residents enjoyed get up close to a snake, dove, hedgehog and Zante fox.
The smiles laughter and interaction was lovely to see and when asked the residents said they enjoyed.

Yesterday a couple of our residents enjoyed a trip to dalton park somewhere different for a spot of shopping and lunch.
They really enjoyed looking around purchasing a few items and having KFC for lunch.
Lots of smiles and laughter they seemed to really enjoy.

Yesterday a few of our lovely residents went on outings. Some of them went along to the local working men’s club even though some don’t drink it’s important to keep everyone interacting and social within the local community and they really enjoy it. Some of the residents went to crook for a spot of shopping and some lunch. Look at the smiles and laughter they really enjoy going out. We love seeing them all happy.

Willington care village would like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who contributed to our summer fair today we honestly couldn’t do it without you all. ❤️

The weather did have an impact the wind was crazy at times we weren’t as busy as normal and we did have a few mishaps with tickets but overall we had an amazing day. 💨

Thankyou to all staff that really came together to help whether with organising, helping with stalls or fetching our lovely residents out. I’d personally also like to thank Wayne Vegas for our live entertainment thankyou so much we really do appreciate what you did. Also thankyou to Sunderland and district classic vehicle society for fetching along there lovely classic cars. I love planning and organising events it’s lovely to see all the teams come together and shows just how much support we have from the local community..

We will be drawing the raffle on Monday good luck everyone.

We will announce how much we raised money for our residents comfort funds on Monday when everything has been counted..
