Unfortunately, PuppyStim is currently unavailable nationwide, and my usual supplier isn’t expecting any stock until November. (Which I have placed a back order so will have as soon as available:))

The good news is there are still some fantastic products available to help support newborn puppies if they need a little extra assistance. 💛

✨ AniForte Colostrum – One of the best alternatives I stock. Colostrum is packed with natural antibodies, immunoglobulins and nutrients to help support a puppy’s developing immune system and give them the best possible start in life.

🥛 Fettle Goat’s Milk Powder – A highly digestible milk replacer that’s ideal for supplementary feeding, topping up weaker puppies or supporting larger litters. (ask me for my puppy milk recipe :)) It’s gentle on tiny tummies and a staple in many breeders’ whelping kits.

🌡️ Supportive care is just as important – Ensuring puppies are kept warm, hydrated and fed little and often can make all the difference during those first critical days.

✨ Scan Day for Beautiful Bindi 🩷🐾

Today was scan day for the gorgeous Bindi… and I think I spent just as much time enjoying cuddles as I did scanning! 🥹💕

It’s always such a privilege to be part of these special moments with owners, and Bindi was an absolute dream. Calm, gentle, and full of love – she definitely stole a little piece of my heart. ❤️

There’s nothing quite like seeing those precious little signs of new life on the screen. Every scan is special, and sharing that excitement with owners never gets old.

Thank you for all the snuggles today, beautiful girl. I can’t wait to watch your journey over the coming weeks! 🐶✨

✨ Pregnancy Scan Success! ✨

After an unsuccessful first attempt to get beautiful Poppy pregnant elsewhere, her owner came to me for cytology to help pinpoint the optimum time for breeding.

I’m so pleased to say that all the hard work paid off… Poppy is in pup! 🐾💕

It’s incredibly rewarding to see how using cytology to accurately identify the best breeding window can make such a difference. Huge congratulations to Poppy’s owner – I know how much this means to you, and I can’t wait to follow Poppy’s pregnancy journey and meet her puppies when they arrive! 🩷

🐾 The sweetest little pups! 🩷

Today I had the absolute pleasure of microchipping these gorgeous little Dachshund puppies before they head off on their next adventure. 🥹🐶

Microchipping is such an important step in every puppy’s journey, giving them a permanent form of identification and helping reunite them with their family should they ever go missing. It’s quick, safe and a legal requirement before they leave for their new homes.

✨ And… one beautiful little girl is still searching for her perfect forever family! ✨

She is full of character, incredibly sweet and ready to bring so much love and laughter to the lucky people who choose her. If you’ve been thinking about adding a Dachshund to your family, she could be the one you’ve been waiting for. ❤️

🐾 When should you start weaning puppies? 🐾

One of the questions I’m asked most by breeders is “When do I start weaning my puppies?”

Getting weaning right gives your puppies the best possible start, but knowing when to begin, what to feed, and how to support those delicate little tummies can feel overwhelming—especially with your first litter.

🐾 Avoid unnecessary vaccinations
If your dog already has protective immunity, they may not need another core vaccination. Titre testing can help prevent over-vaccination.

🐾 Measures immunity, not vaccination history
Rather than assuming your dog’s last vaccine is still effective, titre testing measures whether they still have protective antibodies against core diseases.

🐾 Ideal for dogs with health conditions
For dogs with immune-mediated diseases, chronic illnesses, previous vaccine reactions, or those undergoing certain treatments, titre testing can be a safer option than routine vaccination (always discuss with your vet).

🐾 Useful for older dogs
Many senior dogs retain immunity for years after vaccination. Titre testing can help determine if they still have adequate protection.

🐾 Perfect for breeding dogs
Knowing the dam has good immunity before mating can give reassurance that she’ll pass protective antibodies to her puppies through her colostrum.
