So, we can finally share some news…

Revol Records has a new home. ❤️🖤

We’ll soon be moving into our own premises on Queen Street, Withernsea.

This is something I’ve wanted for Revol from the beginning , a proper shop of our own where we can do things the way we want to and really start building what Revol is meant to be.

There’s still quite a bit to do before we’re ready to open, so we’re not showing too much just yet, but I’m really looking forward to seeing it all come together.

There’ll be more vinyl, CDs, T-shirts, Funko Pops, collectibles and plenty of other pop culture bits too.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, whether you’ve bought something, shared one of our posts, told someone about us or just come in for a chat. It really does mean a lot.

This feels like a big step forward for Revol and I can’t wait to show you what we do with the place.

This week marks my final week trading at the Promenade Indoor Market, and it feels like the end of one chapter and the beginning of something I’ve dreamed about for a very long time.

Since I was 18, I’ve had a dream of owning my own record shop. For years, that’s exactly what it was, a dream.

Then Stevie gave me an opportunity.

She trusted me, gave Revol a home and helped me in more ways than I could ever properly put into words. From guidance and advice to encouragement and support, she gave me the chance to actually start turning that dream into something real.

Without Stevie and the opportunity she gave me at the Promenade Indoor Market, I genuinely believe owning a record shop would have remained something I talked about doing “one day”.

Instead, I got to do it.

I got to open Revol, meet customers, build relationships, learn what works and what doesn’t, make plenty of mistakes along the way, and most importantly prove to myself that this dream could actually work.

So while I’m incredibly excited about what comes next, leaving the market is definitely bittersweet.

And then there’s Rachel.

She has supported me through every idea, every worry, every difficult day and every slightly mad conversation about what Revol could eventually become.

With her help and support, that next step, the one that once seemed so far away, is now becoming a reality.

There’s still a little way to go, but Revol is about to take its biggest step yet.

For now, though, I just want to say thank you to Stevie, Rachel, everyone at the Promenade Indoor Market and every single person who has walked through the doors and supported Revol.

You helped turn an 18-year-old’s dream into something real.

And hopefully, this is only the beginning.

🎸 REVOL TODAY | 6 August 1965 🎸

On this day in 1965, The Beatles released Help! – their fifth UK studio album and the soundtrack to their second feature film.

Featuring timeless classics like Help!, Ticket to Ride, Yesterday and You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, it's an album that helped define the sound of the 1960s.

On this day in 2016, Blossoms released their self-titled debut album, which went on to reach No.1 on the UK Albums Chart.

The Stockport band's debut featured fan favourites including Charlemagne, Getaway, Honey Sweet and At Most a Kiss, launching one of the UK's biggest indie bands of the last decade.
