Something happened this week that I'm still getting my head around.

After years of doing this from record fair to record fair, one-mat-at-a-time - a major UK manufacturer has just placed the biggest order I've ever made. We're talking thousands of mats, every single month, going out under their name to UK shops and on their decks all over the world.

I started this making slipmats for mates at club nights. Then it was car boots and record fairs up and down the country. Now they're shipping out by the thousand alongside turntables from one of the biggest names in the business.

Still feels mad to type that out.

Thank you to everyone who's supported ModMat so far , those who bought a mat, worn one in at a fair, or told a mate about us — this is as much yours as it is mine. More to come soon.

Every record fair, same thing happens. This one starts spinning and suddenly there's five phones out filming it.
