I picked this up at an auction to cut up for the wood but when I put it in the car the weight and quality surprised me. The combination of the Hepplewhite-style tapering legs, the flame mahogany, and the specific hand-cut knuckle joint, suggests the table most likely dates to the 1790s. A classic example of late Georgian functional elegance. So I restored it instead! Now I need to find a home for it.

Another stool project completed it had been coated in a coloured varnish at some point.

A good quality antique mahogany butlers tray. George 111 around 200 years old. In great condition, solid and very useable. No stand available. There is discolouration expected with the age and a scratch on the surface which is in the photos. £75 is a very reasonable price for this antique. A Google search will show you what antique shops sell them for.
