Merry Christmas from Bark & Nurd! 🎄

What a properly busy year it’s been - and we wouldn’t have it any other way. From muddy fields to packed town centres, it’s been a joy keeping people connected when it matters most.

A huge thank you to all the events, festivals, organisers and crews we’ve powered with Wi-Fi this year. You’ve kept us on our toes (and on a lot of coffee).

We’re already looking ahead to 2026, and we’ve got something new brewing… Project Bark is coming, and we’ll be telling you more in the new year 👀🐾🤫

What an absolute honour! 🎆

For the 4th year running, Bark & Nurd were proud to support our village fireworks night! We truly hope you enjoyed the music, lights, and of course the spectacular fireworks as much as we did. 🌟

A massive shoutout to every single volunteer and the organisers, this was definitely the best one yet! 🙌

And to everyone who bought a ticket and came along – thank you! Your support helps fund the primary school and PTFA, making a real difference in our community. 💙🎒

That’s Halloween done, super proud of this years effects and lighting. We’re getting ready for 2026 festival season, but we’re going to support the local fireworks show with some effects, lighting and sound system this weekend before a well earned rest.

We’re rolling into Croft Farm Water Park on the 5th & 6th September, and this year it’s all about Brazilian Carnival 💃🥁 - expect feathers, colours, and more rhythm than a conga line on their third pint.

And here’s the fun bit - Bark & Nurd are your festival WiFi providers, and we’ll be adding 5 bars of glorious signal across the site with our super festival WiFi network 📡✨. That means selfies, group chats, and samba videos uploading quicker than you can spill a pint doing the samba 🍻.

⚠️ We get a lot of: Why do I need WiFi at my event? There’s 4G/5G coverage!

A great question – and a super common one from event organisers. Yes, you might have signal on paper- but that doesn’t mean the network can actually cope with your crowd.

Here’s why:

Mobile Masts Have a Maximum Capacity

4G and 5G masts can only handle a limited number of simultaneous connections. Each mast has:

A set number of radio channels for voice
A fixed amount of bandwidth to split between all connected users

Think of it like a motorway:

More users = more traffic = slower speeds
Too many users = gridlock = dropped calls and failed messages and no data, which happens at 99% of Festivals.

That’s a wrap on SJFest 2025 – and what a weekend it was! 🎉 We helped celebrate SJ’s birthday in true style with a full DJ rig, lights, and a few cheeky lasers lighting up the night sky.

Of course, no modern festival is complete without solid connectivity - and once again, Bark & Nurd WiFi came through with a rock-solid 5 bars of signal all weekend long. From tunes to memes, the bandwidth flowed freely. 📡💻

Brilliant to see the whole crew, swap stories, blast music, and make memories. Big love to everyone who came and made it what it was.
