folksy.com/shops/IzzyandIslahandmade I am the person behind the scenes, and my name is Juliet, I live in Cumbria with my husband and two cats, called Izzy and Isla. I predominantly make jewellery using the medium of polymer clay. I have previously made jewellery using beads

, and my bead work may sometimes pop into my creations, either as a full piece or as an accompaniment to the polymer clay. I find using polymer clay allows me to be more creative, and there are times I like to go beyond the jewellery and make accent pieces for the home. I sell on my folksy page https://folksy.com/shops/IzzyandIslahandmade

Thank you to those of you who have bought from me recently, either in a local shop, from folksy or when you have seen me at craft fairs in egremont or Carlisle.
It would be very much appreciated if you would leave me a review on Facebook as this tells new potential customers that I am a trusted reliable maker.
For those of you who have not met me yet I will be in Carlisle on the 15th August and at Loweswater show on the 6th September.

A few more red and yellow earrings. These are all backed with black patterned clay with a slight texture. The more dramatic side has the pattern developed within the clay, once the clay was double cured they have been sanded and buffed to create a subtle sheen.
The black has continued through to edge the coloured sections to add additional drama.
They look big but they are lightweight.
I will be taking these with me to market in Carlisle on Saturday.

I've been in my creative element making jewellery using a technique called mokume gane.
The designs are created by stacking different coloured clays, then once you have the desired stack I push in shapes. I have made my own pressers from waste clay. So I press in spirals, squares etc. then with a very sharp blade thin slices are cut from the surface to create unique designs.
I like to leave some of the earrings bumpy to show the colours beneath. I think some of the earrings give the impression of fabrics.
These will be getting added to my folksy page over time. If you see something that is not there yet just give me a nudge and I will get them added.

Look at all these reversible earrings. I was asked to make a couple of sets by my niece and only told the colours required. My niece and sister are in a local drumming band and needed these colours. The brief was earrings that move with red, yellow and black.
I have made their sets and also made 3 additional pairs while I was at it. All these sets are reversible. The picture showing 3 pairs are available. You can match, or wear them odd.
I can add these to my folksy page, or take to a local shop for purchase. Initiallly they will be available at my stall with quirky eclectica on Saturday 18th July in Carlisle.

I make so many things which don't meet social media as I don't find taking the photos as much fun.
I realised today that while I had taken some photos of these trinket pots I had not taken enough to add to my folksy page.
Today I have fixed this and now these have been added. Take a look at my page to purchase.
