This recent job in Yeovil involved a carpet that had suffered years of cat scratching and pulled fibres throughout the house.

✅ Two professional cut-out repairs were carried out to damaged areas in the doorway and bedroom using donor carpet.

✅ I also carefully trimmed and blended hundreds of pulled fibres across multiple rooms, bringing them back to a consistent height and dramatically improving the overall appearance of the carpet.

The result is a much tidier, more uniform finish without the expense of replacing the carpet.

Every repair is different, but in many cases damaged carpets can be successfully restored rather than replaced.

Dropped an iron on the carpet?

Accidentally left hair straighteners, curling tongs or a hair dryer on the floor?

In many cases, a damaged section can be carefully removed and replaced using a matching donor piece of carpet, often saving the cost of replacing an entire room.

Radiator Pipe Carpet Repair

When radiators or pipework are moved it often leaves holes in the carpet around the pipes.

Instead of replacing the whole carpet, the damaged areas can usually be carefully repaired so the carpet blends back in around the pipework.

Below are a few examples of radiator pipe repairs where holes in the carpet were repaired using donor carpet.

Carpet repair completed last week 👌

This was a rental property between tenants in Stembridge (near Martock) with damage from scratching (most likely a cat).

• Top step repaired using a donor piece
• Bottom step fully replaced for a cleaner finish
• Multiple pulled areas trimmed and tidied

All repairs carried out using carpet from a cupboard, then replaced 👍

A great way to avoid the cost of replacing carpets and extend their life.

Another common one 👇

Pet damage around doorways.

Pets tend to sit and scratch at the same spot waiting to get in or out, and over time it completely wears through the carpet like this.

Instead of replacing the carpet, I cut out the damaged area and repaired it using a donor piece.

All blended back in and good to go again 👍

Repairs like this are ideal for:

Customer tried to fix it themselves — twice 😬

With moving out next week, they were worried about losing their deposit.

✔️ Removed the damaged section
✔️ Fitted a new piece properly
✔️ Blended it back in

Good as gone. Deposit saved.
