Did someone say PINK? Little tidy up on the sides and nape today and pink toner for my beautiful client who wanted a change whilst growing out her hair. It should fade by the end of august when we will redo her highlights. I shaped up the nape and sides so that each cut is a goal not a grow out cut. Next time I think we might be in pixie Bob land💖💖

She added a little more dimension through the top after I retoned my hair at home, resulting in this beautiful oak and warm toned bronde.
It’s tricky being a brunette as I love being lighter but need warmth and dark tones too.
Most natural brunettes should not be afraid of warmth- sure if you’re under very warm lighting or in bright sunlight it will look warm but our colouring can take it.
Unless you look like Snow White or Elsa naturally you shouldn’t shy away from warmth. She used naked glow which has a blush/copper undertone and did not tone my highlights.

When the gloves don’t work…
I’ll admit that I’m a messy little stylist but I’ve given myself what is known as “poo fingers” 😩😩😩
This tint must have seeped through my gloves!
Do you think I can get away with this as an ombré nail polish?? 😂😬🤷‍♀️

From too light to just right..
Years ago my client had a dark brown colour. We’ve played around with different colours but today she came in with dark blonde hair, the sun had faded her colour! This was the lightest id ever seen it.
A full head of chunky bricklayed weaved foils in French brown 5014 and root tint of 5/00 with a dash of 6/00 20vol
I worked in 3/4 inch sections. Before removing the foils I used my wet brush to diffuse the root tint for a few minutes. Then smooshed it all together with a little water for a minute to tone the hair left out. I think my clients smile is all the feedback I need! I always love our appointments so it was lovely to spend a little more time with her ❤️

A toner and cut for my mischievous pixie- her highlights had faded back to blonde, we used glow L22 as a toner to give a mauve hue to them, which gives her a new colour for a few weeks then helps to keep the blonde on the cooler side until we next colour.
We made the decision to not colour her roots quite some time ago and don’t try to disguise the sparkles- it gives her pixie texture and is a great base for a different fun colour each time.

Today I got my lockdown hair sorted! My talented colleague Lauren -at-victoria-jaynes gave me just what I wanted- a natural WARM dark blonde/light brunette. Yes I said it..WARM🥴and I know many clients are scared of the warm side but I hope I rock it to show there is an alternative to the ashy/cool/silver trend. As you can see it has many different tonalities depending on the lighting and I can get a bright blonde without killing my hair. Maybe it’s ok to see yellow👀👀 olaplex every step.

The “I’m back!” transformation for this rock witch princess💖🎇
My absolutely stunning client tried growing her natural colour but remembered why she didn’t like it...I used a full range of weaving/slicing techniques to get a lived in but contrasted blonde on her pixie which she is in the process of growing out. Her look changes from grungey to cute and everything in between so there’s a surprise money piece for when she sweeps it off her face, a natural looking colour when pushed forwards and a more contrasted look when she sweeps it to the side.
The shaved nape will get lower as her length on the top and sides grow. Or we might change our minds completely and do something else😂🤷‍♀️
There was a faded green on the ends which we neutralised with a slightly pinky toner 9.21/10.13 with multitechniques bleach.
She also took her before photos knowing I’m TERRIBLE at remembering 😘
