From My Counter to the Cloud: How Digital Marketing Changed My Customer Game
When I first started Calvary Enterprise in Ho, I thought great customer service alone would keep people coming back. A warm smile, a clean shop, and stocked shelves — that was my formula. But one day, a customer told me she almost bought her products from someone she found on Facebook. That’s when it hit me: I needed to be where my customers were — online.
I started small — posting pictures of my products on WhatsApp and Facebook, adding captions like “Our Customers, Our Priority.” Soon, I realized it wasn’t just about showing products; it was about telling stories.
People wanted to know why I started, how I choose quality products, and what makes Calvary Enterprise different.
With every post, I built a connection. I learned that digital marketing isn’t about selling — it’s about serving. It’s about listening, responding, and showing your human side.
Here are my top 3 lessons for any woman in business:
1. Show up consistently. Even one post a week reminds customers you’re active.
2. Engage, don’t just advertise. Reply to comments, share customer moments, say “thank you.”
3. Be your brand. People buy from people, not logos. Let them see you.
Today, digital marketing helps me keep old customers close and reach new ones far beyond Ho.
It’s proof that every woman — whether in a big city or a small town — can grow her business by sharing her story online.
