The Formula 1 Racer 🏁🏎️

This is not just a cocktail—it’s a podium finish in a glass. It burns like a blown engine, looks as dangerous as a wet race in Monaco, and kicks harder than a Red Bull pit crew on espresso.

Laced with spiced rum, because watching 20 millionaires turn left and right at 200 mph somehow requires alcohol. Campari for that signature “I’m sophisticated but bitter” vibe—like every post-race interview. A twist of lime and pineapple, just to fool you into thinking this might be relaxing. Spoiler: it’s not.

Served over crushed ice, because let’s face it—by lap 35, your soul is as melted as those soft compounds.
Perfect for watching your favorite driver get taken out in Turn 1… again.

Drink fast. Just like the race, it’ll be over before you know it—and you’ll be left emotionally unstable, slightly buzzed, and wondering where your weekend went.

Ingredients:
• 2 oz spiced rum (for the engine heat)
• 1 oz Campari (for the redline)
• 1 oz lime juice (for the cornering bite)
• 1 oz pineapple juice (because even F1 has tropical circuits)

A cocktail for when the sun is out but your will to socialize isn’t. The June Gloom pairs notes of lavender and citrus with the overwhelming sense that this is as good as it’s going to get.

Tastes like brunch plans you immediately regret and grapefruit! Yay.

• 1.5 oz gin (or vodka, if you prefer)
• 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
• 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur (like St-Germain)
• 0.25 oz lemon juice
• 0.5 oz lavender syrup
• Splash of club soda
• Dash of activated charcoal (optional, for that cloudy gloom effect)
• Garnish: blood orange wedge or dried citrus wheel

Raspberry Mojito 🌱

Here we are on a sunny Monday afternoon. The weather outside says “relaxing poolside cocktail” time but the calendar says “dinner time, sports practice, laundry, and trash night”.

Stupid calendar.

But have no fear. We are here to give you a metaphorical light at the end of the tunnel. Or, a mojito at the end of the trash can, more literally.

Get all your Monday chores done and pour yourself one of these to celebrate yourself. The dinner-fixing, sports-taking, garbage-can-to-the-curb hero you are. Cheers!

• 1 TBSP mint infused simple syrup
• handful of raspberries
• several mint leaves
• 2 oz white rum

Mangorita 🥭

We don’t make a lot of blended cocktails here at Mirth Makers. The first one usually goes great, but they are so tasty we want another. And another.

And that’s when things so sideways. Alcohol and bladed machinery don’t go as well together as you’d expect, and we learned our lesson from The Daiquiri Calamity of 2014. We had to buy all new dish towels, but we did meet our insurance deductible that day! It was a mix bag of emotions.

Anyway, gather these ingredients from your local , and either get ONLY enough for one cocktail or stop at CVS for gauze and Band-Aids and get to blending!

• 1/2 can of Trader Joe’s Mango Juice
• 2-3 slices of fresh mango, also from TJ’s
• 2 oz Tequila
• 1 oz orange liqueur
• Juice from 1/2 a lime
• 1 tsp Agave
• 1 small pinch of sea salt
• 1 cup of ice
• 12 pack of Band-Aids

Under The Sea Vodka Sparkler 🐙

Here at MirthMakers HQ, we get a lot of questions from our fans. Our most asked question behind “Why do you bother?” Is “Where do you get your inspiration from?”

Well, friends, this cocktail was inspired by none other than the clearance rack at Big Lots. Our procurement manager was there shopping for lingerie and just LOOK at this adorable glassware he found.

We knew it needed a light, fun vodka cocktail to make its life complete! See below for the recipe, and for those of you concerned about Mark, our procurement manager- you should be. He is unwell.

• 2 oz Vodka
• 2 oz fresh lemon juice
• fill to the top with citrus flavored sparkling water
• optional additions are a little simple syrup and Blue Curaçao for flair

SPF 15 🧴☀️🕶️
We’re experiencing some sunny weather here in So Cal, which is a welcome break from our usual May Gray bu****it, but when this kind of weather sneaks up, we have a tendency to forget to protect our skin. And starting the summer with that sunburn-turned-farmer-tan is probably not the look you’re going for (no offense to any farmers.)

As a subtle reminder, we’ve named this cocktail “SPF 15” because after a few, you’ll be just like the low protection factor ointment - completely fu***ng worthless.

So pour a couple of these, slather on the SPF 45, and get ready to safely pass the f**k out on that poolside lounge chair.

Safety first, friends.

Ingredients:
- 3 oz Fresh squeezed lemonade (or whatever they’re schlepping at Trader Joe’s at the moment)
- 1 oz vodka
- St. Germain splash

You did it! You made it to the New Year! We knew you could do it.

And what a way to finish out the old year. You really tied one on - people will be talking about that for years to come. You made us proud. And though you probably can’t remember most of it, there’s a giant mess to remind you that everyone had a good time.

But before you get to cleaning up the remnants of NYE, take a moment to reflect on that resolution you made. No, not the one about Dry January. Who would be stupid enough to attempt that? The resolution to be more attentive to your own needs. Make yourself a priority. Self care. Those dishes can wait so pop another bottle and celebrate YOU.

And also because you’re really fu***ng hungover and this will help.

It’s almost Halloween time, friends! And what would be a better time to raise the (nearly) dead Mirth Makers account than now?

It’s been ages since we’ve posted a delicious cocktail and we know what you’re thinking-

“When did I follow this sh*tty account?”

But wait! There are many more disappointing cocktails and offensive commentary in the works. Don’t unfollow yet.

For now, mix up this maple apple whiskey cocktail and scroll through our old posts. Some of them are almost tolerable!

• some whiskey
• some apple cider
• 1 tablespoon of maple syrup

Put that all into a cocktail shaker and serve over ice.
