What an honor and joy to see a custom Oud I built from scratch in the hands of my dear friend Spyros, captured as part of his documentary. There’s no greater satisfaction for a maker than witnessing their creation come to life through another’s art.

This is my latest oud – a zenne model – small in size, yet carrying the same spirit.
Often chosen by women, players with a shorter torso, or those seeking extra comfort.

A folk souled oud with a gipsy travelled feeling ready to take you from aşiks’ music cafes to heartbroken rembetiko and every world’s corners of music under the strict rules of free music without aesthetic boundaries !

When its folk soul fades, so does a part of its story.

This instrument is also the last of the Padauk–Walnut series.
The next ones are on their way – with new materials, fresh decoration patterns, and new stories waiting to be told.
