Long table. Open sky. Horses in the field. 🐴

Over the weekend my husband and I sat down to a delicious five-course farm dinner at Cadillac Rainbow Ranch, with ingredients like Colorado cherry, fermented black garlic, milkweed flower, CO Bolita beans, from the local Speedwell Farm and Gardens. 🥬

My fav course was a rhubarb filo pie topped with anise hyssop whipped cream. Light, citrusy and a little floral, perfect for a warm evening.

But the best part was the company. Good people, good conversation, and an excellent night out.

A reminder that the best experiences are usually about who’s at the table, not how far you traveled to get there. ❤️

A beautiful hotel website can sell you almost anything.

My job is to know what's behind it.

Before I recommend a single property to a client, here's what I'm actually looking at:

📍 Where it really is. Beachfront or a shuttle ride away, walkable to dinner or gloriously remote — the location behind the address.
🛏️ The specifics that matter to you — bed configuration, connecting rooms, the requests confirmed before arrival, not left to chance.
🏖️ What "ocean view" really means here. The same two words promise very different things from one resort to the next.
🏨 The bones under the brand name. When it was last renovated, and whether the service still lives up to the logo.
☕️ And what I can arrange that you can't get on your own — upgrades, resort credit, breakfast, early check-in.

None of that lives on a booking page. It comes from paying attention.

Every year I lace up for one run. Just one. And with no running training, it definitely wasn’t a jog in the park for me.

Today I ran the Miles for Smiles 5K for the Two Angels Foundation. My calf was sore from my workout the day before, and by mile two, walking started sounding reasonable. My knee started complaining. At some point in that last stretch there was no one around me, no cheering, just me and the pavement.

That stretch reminded me of my business. Building Tray Tables Up has moments exactly like it. The beginning feels manageable. Then somewhere in the middle, doubt shows up and the finish line feels far. So I just kept reminding myself to keep moving, no matter how slow.
I finished the run without stopping once despite my body kept telling me to.💪

The Two Angels Foundation provides custom-built adaptive bikes to children with physical disabilities in Colorado, giving them access to movement, freedom, and a more active life. They have hundreds of bikes delivered and more than a million dollars raised over the years. Events like today’s Miles for Smiles 5K are how that happens.

The Denver chapter of Fora advisors had its official opening! 🎉

Got to spend time with some fellow advisors, swapping stories, chatting through what’s working, what isn’t, and reminding each other why we do this.

What I am most excited about this community is that we chose this. Nobody ended up here by accident and we are all genuinely passionate about helping people experience the world and creating unforgettable memories.

I walked away fired up and ready to do what I love most- helping my clients live the trips they’ve been dreaming about.

Most people have heard the word ryokan. Far fewer know what to expect when the sliding screen closes behind them.
