1986 年 Peter Gabriel 推出其第 5 張個人大碟 - So, 首張單曲 Sledgehammer 大受歡迎, 之後還陸續推出了多首細碟歌曲, 其中合唱歌曲 Don’t Give Up, 歌曲女聲部份原本是打算邀請Dolly Parton 合作, 不過被她婉拒了, 於是 Peter Gabriel 找來其多年好友 Kate Bush 完成作品, 結果亦令樂迷相當受落, 假如 Dolly 當初應允合唱, 不知效果與成績會否更有話題性, 畢竟他們兩個分別來自不同音樂界別, 如今只可以想像一下, 因為這是一個沒有發生的傳奇故事 。

9 to 5 ( Morning Train )

9 To 5 ( Nine To Five ) 朝九晚五是一部1980年的美國喜劇電影, 由 Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton 合演, Dolly Parton 除演出外亦創作兼主唱了主題曲, 隨著影片的發行, 成為流行榜冠軍之餘, 年終更獲得多個頒獎典禮的提名, 最終奪得兩項格林美獎項, 是她一首人盡皆知的流行金曲。

其實同時期來自英國蘇格蘭的女歌手 Sheena Easton, 亦有一首同名的歌曲, 並且在美國和加拿大兩地都登上冠軍寶座, 唱片公司為避免與Dolly Parton 同名歌曲混淆, 於是後來加多一個名字 " Morning Train ( 9 to 5 ) " 。
