From raw materials and molten glass to sculptural form, casting is a process shaped by heat, patience, and intention.

Using fine raw glass materials sourced from Europe and the United States, each piece is slowly formed through fire and refined by hand, revealing depth, clarity, texture, and luminous layers within the glass.

AEfolio was honoured to collaborate with Yan Mei (Miss Asia) Charity Organisation at SOGO Kai Tak for the “Crystal Glass Horse Charity Showcase,” where glass art became a medium connecting design, emotion, and meaningful causes.

Designed by glass artist Eveline Ko, the handcrafted glass horse symbolizes hope and forward momentum, expressing energy and optimism through flowing lines and luminous reflections. Each piece was individually handmade by artisans, becoming an artwork that carries both craftsmanship and intention.

The event was also joined by charity ambassadors Vincy Chan and Jerry Lamb, supporting the initiative to help provide educational opportunities for underprivileged students.

For AEfolio, glass is more than an artwork
it is a material that celebrates warmth, stories, and acts of kindness.

Flameworking is glass shaped in fire with detail and precision.
Using a torch over 3000°F, rods of glass are softened and worked by hand, each small movement controlled in the moment. While traditional glassblowing engages the whole body in a process to create large glass objects , flameworking allows for delicate, highly detailed creations.
From glass flowers to small sculptural forms, every piece is meticulously formed in the flame, with no two pieces ever the same.
