What do the streets of Dubrovnik keep hidden?
By day, they are filled with visitors, conversations, and the sound of footsteps on ancient stone. But as evening falls, the city changes.
The warm lights of restaurants begin to glow, narrow alleyways grow quieter, and the Old Town reveals a different side of itself.
These streets have witnessed centuries of stories — sailors leaving for distant journeys, families building their lives, children growing up beneath these same stone walls.
Among them stands the Church of St. Nicholas, a place closely connected to one of Dubrovnik’s most beloved traditions. Every December, children eagerly await St. Nicholas Day, when sweets and small gifts appear as if by magic, continuing a custom that has been cherished for generations.
Sometimes, the most beautiful part of Dubrovnik isn't what you see. It's the stories hidden between the stones.
