Huge thanks to UMEK for sending us this incredible 25 Years of Gatex anniversary edition in green liquid vinyl. Each copy even contains fragments of the original DAT master tapes, making every record a true piece of electronic music history.

The weight of a vinyl record simply refers to the amount of PVC used to manufacture it. A standard LP is usually pressed on 140g vinyl, while a heavyweight version weighs around 180g. 🏋️

While the record itself is thicker and heavier, the grooves that contain the music remain the same. The additional weight does not automatically translate into better sound quality. 🥸
