A nursery buying trip led to a very special find… 🌿

Meet Aesculus parviflora (Bottlebrush Buckeye), one of the most beautiful small trees we’ve seen this season.

Its spectacular flower spikes can reach almost a foot long, filling the tree with elegant white blooms and the sweetest fragrance. I only wish Instagram could let you smell it!

The best part? We couldn’t leave it behind… so it’s arriving at the Courtyard Garden Centre this weekend.

Perfect for a small to medium-sized garden, it grows to around 10–15 feet and rewards you with stunning summer flowers followed by gorgeous golden autumn colour.

Pop in this weekend to see, and smell, this remarkable tree for yourself. 🌳✨

What a transformation! 🌱

This may look like a small project, but it was anything but! From removing massive stumps from 200-year-old trees to groundworks for pipes, new fencing, and a brand-new lawn, every stage came with its own challenges.

We’re especially proud to showcase William Ryan Landscaping, not just because of the incredible standard of work, but because they’re family. With over 30 years of experience, they’ve worked on everything from sports pitches and housing developments to new builds, period homes, large private estates, and complete groundworks projects. The same care and attention goes into every job, no matter the size.

🌸 Another year of colour on the Bridge! 🌸

Once again, we’re delighted to donate the hanging baskets that brighten up the Bridge each summer.

It was especially encouraging to read last year’s TidyTowns adjudicator’s comments, which commented positively about the baskets on the bridge. It’s always wonderful to see the efforts of so many people being recognised.

A huge thank you to everyone who helps make this possible each year, to those who water and care for the baskets and planters, to the Cloughjordan TidyTowns volunteers, and to the Cloughjordan CES team of operatives.
