Looking ...

I love the limitation of two or three colors and the joy of seeing what new colours they produce.

Here I'm working with just 2 colours and white in a sketch book.

Using brushes, water and my hands to make marks.

Just looking, playing, seeing what happens and noting how I feel about it ...

'How the Light Gets In' is the summer exhibition - showcasing the work of artists based in the MART Grainstore Cabinteely Studios - from May to August 2026. 

This exhibition offers a platform for studio members to present their work within the gallery space of the Grainstore, highlighting the creativity, diversity and talent of our growing artistic community. 

Working across a range of disciplines and mediums, participating artists share new and ongoing work with the public throughout the summer season.  The first four exhibiting artists are listed below, with additional artists and events to follow over the course of the summer. 

As well as celebrating the work being created withing the studios, 'How the Light Gets In' creates opportunities for artists to connect with audiences, develop their professional practice, and offer work for sale.

Super weekend at this year's ArtEvolve in the RDS!

A light-filled few days of conversation, connection and camaraderie!

It was a joy to see pieces connect and find their way onward. Thank you to those who choose my work.

Experiencing art in person is very different from seeing it on a screen. It has the capacity to bring you into the present moment in a beautiful way. If you missed ArtEvolve and are looking for art for your home or office, please get in touch to arrange a studio visit. I'd love to see you.

Echolight (top) and Shorelight showing at ArtEvolve in the RDS this weekend

This is my newest work and represents a shift in a slightly different direction for me. Different palette, lighter washes of paint and playing around with marks and materials. A really enjoyable exploration.
