🗨️🦍11th edition: 20-23 May 2026!

Alliance Française de Dublin and IGI (Illustrators Guild of Ireland) are proud to present the 11th edition of the Comic Book Festival Dublin, celebrating the vibrant worlds of comics and illustration. This year’s programme features a series of creative events designed to inspire, entertain, and amaze.

Building on the success of last year’s festival, this edition expands in scope and introduces exciting new elements. The opening evening will feature acclaimed French comic creators Fabien Tillon & Gaël Remise, alongside outstanding Irish artists Sarah Bowie & Sheena Dempsey, who will present their work.
In addition to our spectacular evening of Live Readings, the festival will offer a full day of workshops led by industry specialists, including an all-day masterclass by legendary Irish artist Eion Coveney. A highlight of this year’s programme is a unique partnership with the Irish National Opera, exploring the surprising yet fascinating connections between the classic French comic Astérix and Bellini’s opera Norma. We are also proud to present, for the very first time, a professionally focused panel aimed at both emerging and established creators and artists.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy a curated selection of works at The French Library, an exhibition showcasing selected works by our guest artists, book sales and signings, and a special convention organised in partnership with Little Deer Bookshop and Dublin Comic Arts on Saturday 23rd.

All events are presented in a mix of French and English, with a touch of Irish, and free of charge – except the Masterclass and the Creative workshops (25% discount for AF Friends)
