The Senecio Angel Wings is a striking perennial succulent known for its large, soft, silver-white leaves that feel like velvet to the touch. This plant is primarily grown for its spectacular foliage rather than flowers, making it a favourite among garden designers and home gardeners. It is compact, evergreen in mild regions, and drought-tolerant once established. The plant is easy to care for and looks stunning in a wide range of garden settings, from pots to mixed borders to contemporary gravel gardens. It supports local ecosystems by attracting pollinators and fostering biodiversity. This plant is hardy and requires minimal water, making it suitable for various gardening conditions. It is easy to care for, requiring only occasional watering and can thrive in full sun or partial shade.

Hydrangea paniculata is a versatile, low-maintenance shrub that thrives in sun or partial shade, tolerates a range of soils, and provides long-lasting, colourful blooms. Proper watering, fertilization, pruning, and pest management will ensure healthy growth and spectacular floral displays from summer through autumn.
Water deeply once or twice weekly during the growing season, especially from May to September when flowering is active. Newly planted shrubs require more frequent watering for the first two years until established. Apply a 5–8 cm layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and reduce watering frequency
Hydrangea paniculata blooms on new wood, so prune in late winter (February–March) before growth begins. Cut back stems to 30–60 cm from the ground or to a pair of healthy buds. Hard pruning produces fewer but larger flower heads, while lighter pruning encourages more numerous, smaller panicles. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches and thin congested growth to improve air circulation. Deadhead spent flowers in autumn if desired, though dried panicles can provide winter interest.
Apply a general-purpose slow-release fertilizer such as blood, fish, and bone in early spring as new growth emerges. A second feed with a potassium-rich fertilizer in June promotes stronger flower colour and sturdier stems. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers after midsummer, as they encourage soft growth prone to frost damage.
Follow these simple steps to ensure stunning blooms for years to come.
