Shoe designer Shani Bar is one of the beacons of the Israeli fashion scene. Before starting to create footwear Shani Bar studied photography and graphics in Tel Aviv and then accessory design at the renowned Bezalel Academy of Art in Design in Jerusalem. d the world of footwear and designed her first footwear collection. In 2004, Shani more by chance obtained the opportunity to present her debut collection at the Berlin Premium Exhibition and test her potential. Back in Tel Aviv, everything went very quickly. First Shani built up a distribution network in Israel, opened the first own store in Tel Aviv in 2006
Shani orientates herself to classical lines and clean shapes, but disrupts them with playful details and ironic lightness. Thereby the designer would never be willing to compromise on comfort. Shani basically target a feminine effect. High heels with unusual silhouettes are a firm component of her design and are almost used like a signature, however only seldom exceed the comfortable height of six centimeters.

במהלך השנים ביססה בר את המותג שלה כמותג ישראלי, טרנדי ומוביל ולאחר שיצאה עם עיצוביה גם לשווקים האירופאיים והציגה את נעליה בכמה בוטיקים מובילים כמו: שוויץ, גרמניה ואוסטריה, החליטה לפתוח חנות ראשונה למותג בעיר ברלין הממוקמת ברובע Mitte הטרנדי ואלטרנטיבי.
שני בר: "יש לי חיבור ויזואלי ממש חזק לשנות ה – 70', ואני מאוד מתחברת לעולם הצורני והצבעוני של אותה תקופה. חקרתי את עולם האופנה של אותה תקופה דרך מגזינים ישנים שמצאתי ביריד וינטאג' בברלין ושילבתי זאת עם תמונות ילדות ישנות שלי, אשר איפשרו לי לחוש את האווירה בארץ בתקופה זו."
