The Mahabharata is a super-voluminous book divided into eighteen sections and several sub-sections. Out of these, one prominent section known as ‘Bhishma-Parva’ carries in its sub-sections from 25 to 42 a divine dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna. Due to its high spiritual value, this divine dialogue later came to be recognised as a separate book ‘Srimad-Bhagwad-Gita’.

The Gita (3: 42) says that senses are superior to body, mind is superior to senses, soul is superior to mind and God is superior to soul. However, for most people, it the body and senses that control the mind. The mind, therefore, cannot listen to the soul and the voice of God.

वेदों के अंतिम भाग को वेदान्त या उपनिषद् के नाम से जाना जाता है।महर्षि व्यास द्वारा वेदों का जो संकलन किया गया उसके प्रथम भाग में ऋषियों के मंत्र रखे गये जिसे “संहिता” के नाम से जाना जाता है। दूसरे भाग में वैदिक यज्ञों के कर्मकांड का विधान है जिसे “ब्राह्मण” के नाम से जाना जाता है। तीसरे भाग को “आरण्यक” नाम दिया गया क्योंकि इसमें वन में रहते हुए परमार्थ चिंतन की प्रवृत्ति दृष्टिगत होती है जिसका पूर्ण विकसित रूप हमें वेदों के अंतिम भाग “उपनिषद्” में देखने को मिलता है।

तिरुमाला पहाड़ी पर विराजमान भगवान् वेंकटेश्वर, जिन्हें तिरुपति बालाजी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, के दर्शनार्थ पहुँचने के लिए तिरुपति सिटी रेल मार्ग का अंतिम बिन्दु है।हमारी ट्रेन सुबह भोर में ही पहुँच गई और हमलोग टैक्सी लेकर लगभग ४० मिनट में तिरुमाला पहुँच गये।एक मित्र के सौजन्य से हमें मंत्रालय का पत्र मिल गया था जिससे वीआईपी दर्शन की सुविधा मिल गई।एक कांटेबल हमारे साथ गया जो एक संकरे रास्ते से हमें उस बिंदु तक पहुँचा दिया जहाँ सारी पंक्तियाँ एक हो जाती हैं।भगवान् के समक्ष कोई वीआईपी नहीं रह जाता।इस प्रकार मिनटों में ही भगवान् के भव्य विग्रह के दर्शन हो गये और वर्षों से संजोई हुई कामना पूर्ण हुई।
