Boyanika proudly organized its 39th Annual Governing Body Meeting on 13.05.2026 at the Conference Hall of the Institute of Engineers, Bhubaneswar, bringing together weaver representatives, Board Members, and senior government officials to review progress and chart the way forward for the handloom sector in Odisha.
The meeting was graced by Smt. Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Odisha, who reaffirmed the Government’s unwavering commitment to the development and livelihood enhancement of weavers through various schemes and transformative initiatives. Sri Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, IAS, Director of Textiles, Odisha, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the collective efforts being undertaken to strengthen the handloom ecosystem.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Sri Prakash Chandra Meher, President, Boyanika, in the presence of Dr. Nivedita Prusty, IAS, Managing Director, Boyanika and the esteemed Members of the Board.
Boyanika remains steadfast in its mission to empower weavers, preserve Odisha’s rich handloom heritage, and expand the reach of authentic handwoven products to customers across the globe.
