Craft is not just about stitching a design, it is about creating it from one’s own mind and imagination.

At Kala Raksha, we believe a true artisan is someone who can design as well as make. If a design is simply traced or given by someone else, it becomes a task. But when an artisan creates the design by thinking independently, that is when real art lives.

Preserving craft means preserving the artisan’s own creative voice. Only then can we truly call them a designer.
